This pied-à-terre at Waterline Square was designed as a calm and contemporary retreat for a client who frequently travels to New York City for both work and leisure. The intention was to create a space that feels fresh, clean, and instantly welcoming, offering a sense of ease and refinement from the moment of arrival.
We approached the design with clarity and restraint, using soft textures, clean lines, and a neutral palette to enhance the natural light and architectural geometry. Furnishings were chosen for their sculptural quality and comfort, contributing to a quiet sense of sophistication. Materials such as pale oak, brushed metal, and natural textiles reinforce the atmosphere of calm and simplicity.
The layout supports the client’s transient lifestyle through integrated storage and thoughtful spatial planning, making the apartment feel complete and functional without excess. Art and accessories were curated to add personality while preserving a sense of openness, allowing the architecture and views to remain central to the experience.
